Bike Fitting Service

Our dynamic Bike Fitting service is in collaboration with Body and Bike Therapy and aims to work with complete beginners, the elite professional cyclist, and anyone within these spectrums of cycling enthusiast. We factor in the needs of you - the cyclist - as well as of the bike itself. Here we discuss your needs, whether they be to improve the fit of an existing bike, get the right fit for a new-to-you bike, perhaps a brand-new bike recently purchased or indeed something new such as starting out in a new discipline; road, gravel, MTB, triathlon, commuter or otherwise?

Whatever the reason, we provide time to ensure the goals of the session are established at the beginning – over a coffee!

Our aim is for the Bike Fit to put you in the optimal position, based on both subjective and objective information acquired throughout our assessment process. We work closely with you, the cyclist, and tailor you to your bike of choice through a thorough consultation, bike fitting, and evaluation session. This strives to have you as comfortable and efficient on your own bike as is possible.

The anatomical knowledge and experience of the fitter, for both Body and Bike is key within the Bike Fitting process, and will be demonstrated throughout.

Pre-requisite: Please bring the following to your session.

-Your Bike
-Cycling Kit (bike shorts)
-Cycling Shoes
-Something to drink
-Towel

FYI - Changing facilities are available on site

Comprehensive Bike Fit Session £175 (First Appointment)

Duration: 2 Hours

Pre-Fit Assessment; Over a coffee, we will gather key subjective information on your experience, your bike, and key goals. An objective clinical examination of you (Body) to assess your current condition, covering range of movement and existing injuries. An objective assessment of your machine (Bike) to assess the current positioning of the 5 key points of contact * as a baseline measurement.

Position Analysis; After having set up your bike on our static trainer, the fitter is able to assess your current position using their experience, knowledge and specialist tools. Measurements are taken and recorded for future reference. This will be fed back to you via a screen highlighting areas of focus during each of the 5 key points of contact covered within the session. Adjustments are made where required and the fitter will move on maintaining consistent dialogue, answering any queries as required.

Post Fit Analysis; when all adjustments are made and agreed, they are recorded and compared to the early part of the session. A post session report, complete with pictures, will be sent providing detail on before and after positions.

Re-Fit Session; a recommendation where you are invited back within 4-6 weeks. This allows time for the body to adapt to the changes made to the bike, ensuring that these adaptations are meeting expectations.

*both hands on handlebars, both feet on pedals and saddle.

Follow-Up Re-Fit Session (Second appointment included in First appointment cost)

Duration: 1 Hour

To validate any changes that may be required following feedback from the initial Bike Fit session. We recommend you keep a record of subtle changes that may be worthy of note for review within your follow-up session.

N+1 - Bike Fit Session £50 (Get an additional BikeFit at a reduced cost)

Duration: 1 Hour 30 mins

Assuming this additional bike is of a similar set up to that of your first bike i.e. road bike settings to a second road bike, we can transfer settings acquired within the initial Bike Fitting session (subject to discussion prior to confirmation of booking).

Annual Re-assessment £75

Duration: 1 hour

Where you have had a Bike Fit with us, we recommend an annual reassessment to ensure that you are maintaining set goals and have the opportunity to reevaluate where necessary.

Phone/Video Consultation (Free)

07301209719

Duration: 10 minutes

Manual Therapy Session £50 (£40 if required as part of the BikeFit)

Duration: 1 hour

Where it has been identified that a further, more comprehensive clinical assessment and hands on treatment is required, a booking can be made with Body and Bike Therapy directly. The assessment of the body would be more comprehensive within this session, assisting with the treatment of existing injuries or maintenance, in order to help prevent the potential of injury prior to competition or during intense periods of training.
